Mediation Services is pleased to announce the details of our upcoming SCAO Approved 48-Hour Domestic Relations Mediation Training, which includes the 8-Hour Domestic Violence Screening Training (which may be attended separately).
Brian Pappas, JD, LLM, MPP, PhD, will lead the core training, and Veronica Thronson, JD, will lead the DV Screening training.
Mr. Pappas is the Director of the Conflict Management Program and an Assistant Professor of Public Policy and Administration at Boise State University in Boise, Idaho. He is an extensively experienced mediator trainer, having led mediator trainings for years in Michigan and throughout the United States.
Ms. Thronson serves as a Clinical Professor of Law at Michigan State University. It is a significant privilege to have both of them train here with us. Don’t miss out on this educational opportunity.
The training will be held in Holland on Monday, June 11 through Friday, June 15 and conclude on Monday, June 18.
The training will run from 8:30am until 5:00pm daily.
This 6-day interactive training will provide participants with the essential skills necessary to effectively mediate all domestic-related matters, including:
• Parenting Time/Visitation
• Division of debts and assets
• Specific decisions related to children
• State-required Domestic Violence Screening Protocol
This course fulfills the State Court Administrative Office (SCAO) 48-Hour Domestic Relations Mediation training requirements. MCR 3.216.
